The salt cavern project managed by the CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) Research Institute of Engineering Technology is a key national energy reserve project. The salt cavern environment is characterized by high pressure, high salinity, and strong corrosion. Traditional pipelines cannot meet the requirements for long-term stable operation, creating an urgent need for specialized pipelines that are sulfur-resistant, high-pressure resistant, corrosion-resistant, and compliant with the stringent standards of the petroleum industry. After multiple rounds of auditing, Tianrui Jinbo was successfully selected as the contract manufacturing partner for the specialized pipelines of this project.
II. Core Customer Requirements
Customization of specialized pipelines such as completion packers and injection-production string for the salt cavern project. These must possess sulfur resistance, high-pressure resistance, and corrosion resistance, comply with petroleum industry safety standards, and align with the project’s R and testing schedule to ensure product quality and compatibility.
III. Customized Solutions
Relying on its core patented technologies, Tianrui Jinbo developed a customized solution for the PetroChina salt cavern project: utilizing sulfur-resistant base pipes and high-performance cladding coatings, paired with automated laser cladding systems and online inspection equipment to strictly control product quality. Special inspections were completed in accordance with petroleum industry standards, and a dedicated team was established to manage the entire process, coordinating with project R and commissioning to ensure project progress.
IV. Collaboration Results
Tianrui Jinbo became the winning candidate for the contract manufacturing of this project, and its samples passed rigorous technical audits. The specialized pipelines have demonstrated stable operation during trials and are well-suited for the project’s harsh working conditions. This has earned recognition from PetroChina and laid the foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two parties in the petroleum sector.
