With the continuous expansion of energy storage projects, the frequent replacement of traditional pipelines not only increases O costs but also poses safety hazards, seriously affecting the stable operation of energy storage systems. China Energy Storage urgently required a composite pipeline product adapted to energy storage scenarios with high durability and corrosion resistance to resolve these challenges. Shanghai Tianrui Jinbo Composite Pipe Co., Ltd., with its technical expertise and large-scale production capabilities in laser cladding bimetallic composite pipes, caught the attention of China Energy Storage, leading both parties to launch a customized energy storage pipe project.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">II. Core Customer Requirements<\/h3>\n\n<p>Pipelines must possess excellent high-temperature and high-pressure resistance to operate stably under the complex conditions of energy storage systems, avoiding system downtime caused by pipeline failure.<\/p>\n\n<p>Enhance pipeline corrosion resistance to reduce maintenance costs and safety risks caused by the corrosion of pipelines by energy storage media, extending the service life to more than double that of traditional pipelines.<\/p>\n\n<p>Large-scale supply capability is required to ensure the on-time delivery of the initial and subsequent batches of energy storage pipes, meeting the construction schedule requirements of China Energy Storage projects.<\/p>\n\n<p>Provide full-process technical services, including early-stage product R and design, mid-stage production and processing monitoring, and late-stage on-site installation guidance and performance testing support.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">III. Customized Solutions<\/h3>\n\n<p><strong>Technical Solution Customization<\/strong>: Relying on the company&#8217;s 8 core patented technologies, particularly the &#8220;A New Type of Superhydrophobic Compressed Air Energy Storage Pipe and Its Processing Method&#8221; patent (applied on December 26, 2023, and now authorized), a dedicated energy storage pipe was customized for China Energy Storage. This pipe uses a sulfur-resistant base pipe as the substrate, with a corrosion-resistant coating cladded on the inner wall consisting of Ni-Cr-Mo-W-Fe-C alloy, nano-TiO\u2082, ZrO\u2082, and Y\u2082O\u2083. The Ni-Cr-Mo-W-Fe-C alloy content is 70\u201385%, nano-TiO\u2082 is 10\u201325%, ZrO\u2082 is 5\u201310%, and Y\u2082O\u2083 is 1\u20133%. By adding nano-TiO\u2082 particles, a dense superhydrophobic layer is formed, reducing the adhesion of thin liquid films condensed from humid air in the well, thereby reducing corrosion. Simultaneously, the addition of Ni, Cr, Mo, and Zr elements provides full resistance to the oxidizing and reducing corrosive environments caused by halide salt deliquescence in salt caverns, solving the issues of pitting and crevice corrosion common in compressed air energy storage pipes.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Production and Processing Assurance<\/strong>: The company deployed 16 sets of fully automated laser cladding systems and 2 self-developed high-precision online defect detection devices, establishing a full-process quality control system. During production, key indicators such as cladding layer thickness and bonding strength are monitored in real-time to ensure uniform thickness (controlled within 0.2\u20133 mm) and a firm metallurgical bond with the base pipe, with a bonding strength of \u2265 300 MPa. Furthermore, leveraging a large-scale production base with a stable monthly cladding capacity of over 4,000 square meters, a detailed production plan was formulated to guarantee the on-time delivery of initial and subsequent batches.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Full-Process Service Support<\/strong>: A dedicated technical service team was established to provide China Energy Storage with full-process support from RD and design to on-site service. In the early stage, the team communicated deeply with the China Energy Storage technical team to optimize product design based on specific system parameters and operating requirements. In the middle stage, production progress and quality test results were reported regularly, and the client was invited to participate in key milestone inspections. In the late stage, technicians were dispatched to the project site to provide installation guidance and assist in product performance testing and acceptance, ensuring the smooth commissioning of the energy storage pipes.<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IV. Cooperation Results<\/h3>\n\n<p><strong>Product Performance Compliance<\/strong>: After the first batch of internally and externally cladded energy storage pipes was successfully processed and put into use, they underwent over 1,000 hours of stable operation testing. The pipes showed no corrosion, leaks, or other failures. Their high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosion resistance all met expected standards, perfectly adapting to the complex conditions of China Energy Storage&#8217;s systems and significantly reducing OM costs for the client.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Deepening Cooperation<\/strong>: Based on the high-quality experience of the project collaboration, China Energy Storage highly recognized the product quality and technical services of Shanghai Tianrui Jinbo, leading to a long-term cooperation intent.
